I’m Lenore—an artist, wife, mother of two, and lifelong creator living in New Jersey.
I’ve always been drawn to color, organic shapes, lines, and little visual details. For many years, I worked small, mostly with watercolor and ink, filling sketchbooks with intricate marks and ideas. I loved the detail, but I always wanted to go bigger.

That began to change when I discovered abstract painting and the freedom to simply play. Working with acrylic and collage on larger panels has opened up a whole new way of creating for me. I often begin without knowing where a painting is going. I layer, cover, respond, experiment, and see what happens. Sometimes I step away and come back wondering, “How did that happen?”
My faith is the lens through which I try to see the world, and it quietly informs my life and creative practice. I’m learning that creating with God doesn’t have to mean making art that looks overtly Christian. For me, it means making room for His presence, letting go of my need to control the outcome, and staying open to what might emerge.
Lenore in Color reflects that journey—a life becoming more colorful, more fully alive, and more deeply rooted in who God created me to be.
And I’m still very much a work in progress. Thankfully, there’s plenty of room for that in the studio.
